Meet Derek.  He's a teddy bear that was used in an experiment at Toynbee School in Chandler's Ford, England.  Derek lifted off, attached to a helium balloon, on March 3rd, and reached an altitude of more than 34,000 meters/ 21 miles, before the balloon popped.  His rise was smooth, the decent- not so much.  At least he captured a few incredible shots of the moon on his way down.
